Its a...

GIRL!!!! We had our 20 week ultrasound on December 1st and I'm happy to announce that we will be expecting our first daughter in April!! Sorry it took me a while to get that post up. Life's getting crazier by the day at my house. I will be back later with more pics and an update on how everyone and everything is going. I've been having some computer problems at home that haven't allowed me to post and I've also been studying for my final exams. I took my last one and now I'm free, until January, so that's out of the way.

Back with pics and an updated belly shot soon. I promise to keep this one a little less R-rated. *wink wink*

I'm trying to not let life run me over but it gets busy. I have to force myself to make time for me nowadays. Its hard to scratch out that few minutes. Here lately those few minutes have involved bodily functions, and even then there's a little person or a big person pecking at the door wanting in. Well, off to twitter, which seems to be all I get done lately. I'll be getting belly pics in front of the tree tonight, so wish me luck...

17 weeks - Almost nekkid warning. Break out the sunglasses...

I guess since I like you guys I'll post a pic of me and some belly pics for all those wondering what 17 weeks looks like on a short person. All photos courtesy of Hubs, who has been dying to take pics like these since he found out I was preggers...tada!!

And here's a pic from the view of the belly button itself...

Bright, shiny objects. No, all that hair was not there before.
Thank you pregnancy hormones. Now I feel like Chewbacca. RAWR BABY!

And for a more PG-rated belly pic...

You know you want those sexy pants...
Stretch marks courtesy of Twin A and Twin B.

So, nice to meet everyone. I hope you enjoy my site. I'll try to keep it coming at a better rate, I'm just kinda busy some days. (What with all the educating myself, and the working, and the playing with the sweet babies...) I am here though and I am definitely participating.

Next up on my things to post about...the birth story of the twins because I just can't tell that one enough. *emotional sigh* Can't help it the hormones are taking over my brain.

A quick question for all those out there that have kids...when did your kids first roll their eyes at you? My sweet little Twin B did this to me on Sunday and I'm still trying to figure out if it was on purpose or if it was just a fluke. What do you think? Should I be prepared for teenage angst at 19 months or am I safe until he can at least say a few more words?

Welcome to my world

Hello everyone. My name is Vicki. This is my first time writing a blog and I'm going to introduce myself and my little family with a bang.

First up, we have me...I'm a 27 y.o. married mommy. I have twin boys who are 19 months old (on Nov. 3rd) and a third baby on the way (I won't know the sex until about Thanksgiving). I am currently working full-time and attending college part-time. I could live off of my homemade lasagna, white grapes, and sugar cookies if only I was allowed to...hehe. We'll learn more about me and my interests as I go. (And, yes, I will post a picture of myself as soon as I find one I'm not too embarrassed to expose to the rest of the world.)

For now, you get our jack-o-lanterns. Aren't they awesome?

Next up, we have my hubby, who I will refer to as Hubs for now (until my tired out Halloween pregnant brain can come up with something better). Lets just say, he's the bomb. I love him to pieces (sometimes really small pieces...but I digress). He's the lighter side of my seriously OCD self. He makes me laugh when I want to scream (or scream when I want to laugh, depends on the situation...*evil grin*). We balance each other out at most times and the few that we don't, we can at least meet somewhere on one or the other's side of things. (Isn't compromise what marriage is made for?) He makes me happy and I make him happy, even if neither one of us will admit it all the time. (And let me just tell you that he's one of the best daddies out there. Our boys follow him around like lost puppies.) So, now that I've given you a slight description of the man I married, here's an embarrassing picture of him. (Don't worry babe, you can threaten my life later...)

Isn't that the cutest smile you ever did see?

Third up, we have my son, who I am going to call Twin A for now. He was born in April 2007 at a whopping 3 pounds 10 ounces. He is now a healthy 24 pounds and is rather tall for his age. He loves to climb on everything that will hold still long enough (couches, chairs, tables, people, animals...he doesn't discriminate about what he'll climb up on.). He is very cuddly and likes to snuggle. He is also very friendly but has recently begun to shy away from strangers (he'll still smile at you, he just does it bashfully, which absolutely wraps people around his little fingers...). He also has a cry that will break your heart and make you into the biggest human pile of play dough ever seen. So, with a picture to show off the baby blues he got from his daddy...here's Twin A!

Halloween costume made by Darth Vader/the flying nun...

Fourth up, we have Twin B, who will be renamed once we have a better idea for a good nickname. He was born two minutes after his brother in April 2007, weighing in at a crushing 1 pound 7 ounces. (Yeah, I know, that wouldn't crush a cotton ball but it sounded good...hehe). He is now a handsome 18.5 pounds (what can I say? He's active and tall and thin.) This little guy is a dancing machine. He does the John Travolta disco dance, the shoulder shimmy, and the butt wiggle. He's got white guy rhythm (which means none) but he's very cute! Oh, and he dances to anything. Rap, rock, classical...he really likes AC/DC. (I blame the hubby even though its probably my fault. What? Who doesn't like AC/DC?) He got his eyes somewhere else in the family tree though because he has dark blue eyes and no one knows who had them first...they are our little mystery. So, without further ado, here's Twin B...

Costume by Godzilla/Lizard King/dragon...who knows?

Now, last but only least in size, we have Baby #3. Who will definitely have a better nickname once we at least know the gender. I know you're all dying for a picture of this one, but, alas no photo ops yet. I have one indiscernible blob ultrasound picture but no really good ones yet so I promise an excellent pic of in utero Baby #3 when the 20 week ultrasound has been completed. I will have video of this one so I may also give everyone a sneak peek of little baby dancing going on in there. A little bit of info about this one...due mid-April 2009 within 2 weeks of the twins' birthday. I *feel* like this one is a girl, but we will see in a few short weeks if I'm right (as long as the little one cooperates). Hubs swears its a girl. Everyone else is up in the air about it. I'll be taking bets until the birth, just because ultrasounds have been known to be wrong...(just kidding, no betting going on, but I'm sure there will be plenty of guessing going on between now and then).

Now that I've introduced everyone, I'll also mention that there will be occasional mentions of extended family members with possible photo postings of them as well (with their permission) and eventually you will probably meet the entire famdamily. I'm pretty excited about this whole blogging thing, so it will probably be sooner rather than later. So, let me just *wave hi* to everyone, both family and fellow bloggers. Its nice to meet everyone and I hope we all get along famously.

Well, Internetz, come by and visit me occasionally and say hello.

*waving bye*
